Course Objective

The aim of the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma Holistic Massage is to enable learners to gain the necessary theoretical and practical skills in order to provide massage treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the Beauty/Health and Wellness industry.

Course Description

*VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage course is designed for aspiring massage therapists or business owners to obtain world-recognised qualification in the Beauty, Health and Wellness industry. This course is one of the foundation complementary therapy qualifications developed by VTCT (ITEC), accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

The course provides learners with a thorough understanding of science of wellness in the areas of *anatomy and *physiology of the human body. The course includes regular assessments and intensive holistic massage practical lessons that covers the traditional movements to treat, relax and de-stress the whole body. Upon completion of the course, learners would have acquired in-depth knowledge and confidence of the structure and functions of each body area when they serve their clients in Singapore or anywhere in the world. Learners would also gain knowledge on the planning and marketing strategies if they wish to start a business in Beauty/Health and Wellness industry.

*Anatomy refers to the study of the physical structure and organization of living organisms, including their organs, tissues, cells, and other structural components

*Physiology, on the other hand, refers to the study of the functions and processes of living organisms, including how cells, tissues, organs, and systems work together to carry out the body’s various functions

Mode & Duration 2 months (full-time)

7 months (part-time)

Timetable Full-time: 8 hours per day, Mondays – Fridays Part-time: 3 hours per day, 3 day per week

VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage (Mandarin)

Candidates must be at least 16 years old.

Language

  • Obtained at least a Grade 5 in GCE N(A) or N(T) Level Chinese or its equivalent

Academic

  • Obtained at least a Grade 5 at GCE N(A) or N (T) Levels in any three subjects or equivalent.

Pre-requisite of international students who are registering for the part-time course: ICA informed that with effect from 01 January 2023, valid Long-Term Visit Pass and Student’s Pass holders who wish to study part-time courses in EduTrust-certified school will no longer need to seek ICA’s permission. These valid pass holders are allowed to take up part-time courses in the EduTrust-certified school as long as the school’s EduTrust-certification is valid and the course duration is within the validity of the Student Pass.

●   VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma Holistic Massage Portfolio of evidence containing case studies – 5 Clients x 4 treatments (20 treatments)

Course Completion

  • Student must attain a minimum of 90% attendance to complete the course
