COMMUNITY SERVICE – UNLITTERED RED DOT PROJECT: CLEAN UP OF SCHOOL AND TIONG BAHRU PARK
On the 5 Feb 2021, the students from all levels from PYP to A levels took part in the Clean –Up project in collaboration with the Habitat for Humanity’s initiative of “Unlittered Red Dot” campaign. This is to increase awareness for the sustainability of a clean and green Singapore as a community effort. For this project, we adopted the values of unity (as a school); curiosity (exploring reasons why Singapore is so clean); caring for the environment as we are living in it; excellence as a way of achieving our best efforts in this project and with openness of mind to work together for the community’s wellbeing.
It was very gratifying to see the students working hard and picking the litter seriously in spite of the hot weather. Those who cleaned up the school, were working equally diligently, moving and clearing things.
Together in small teams of twos and threes, they were able to complete their tasks well and very happy that they have helped to make the environment a better place to live and study in.
Overall, this activity was enjoyable for both the teachers and the students. It was a well-spent Friday afternoon indeed.
