International Friendship Day

This week we celebrated International Friendship Day with fun traditional Singaporean and Malaysian games!

Before arcades and video game consoles came into our lives, many of us spent our childhood days playing traditional games with friends and family. Traditional games in Singapore and Malaysia may be a thing of the past now but they’re still really fun! Relived them with the students and introduced them so they too can appreciate the old-school games of yesteryears!

There were two traditional activities being introduced such as building a mini Wa Bulan (Moon Kite) which originated from Malaysia Kelantan. Students were curious and open to new cultural experiences and building the kite. Followed by learning the techniques in playing five stones and students compete against each other.

The students had fun playing traditional games!
